Silicon, in the browser

Learn electronics backwards.

Build the circuit first. Flip its inputs, watch it answer — the theory clicks once your hands already know it.

Free VLSI and digital design lessons for ECE students. Practise Verilog in your browser with 90+ interactive labs, a Verilog judge and a career roadmap.

Backwards, on purpose

Build

Drop gates, pull wires, run it. The circuit exists before the vocabulary does.

Break

Flip inputs. Force a carry. Watch exactly where the signal bends — and why.

Understand

Now the theory lands on something your hands already know. It sticks.

Frequently asked questions

Is BitForBytes free?

The courses are. The first 5 Foundation modules work without an account, and a free account opens all 128 modules and saves your progress. The Embedded Lab gives every signed-in student 8 free simulation runs a day (up to 24 a week); credit packs and a semester pass cover heavier use.

Do I need to install anything?

No. The circuits, the Verilog simulator and the microcontroller emulators all run in your browser, on a laptop or a phone.

Can I write and run Verilog here?

Yes. The Verilog Judge grades your code against test cases, and the Verilog Sandbox simulates your design and draws its schematic, with the synthesis running in your browser.

Does it save my progress?

Yes. With a free account, the modules you open and the page you stopped on are saved, so you can pick up from your profile on any device.
